So what’s behind the golden façade of the Shwedagon Pagoda? During this interactive half-day tour we take you through the back door and show you the full history of the pagoda, the daily life of all people living in its immediate surroundings and a deeper insight in the Buddhist religion and how the spiritual belief is mixed with the belief in nats– the Myanmar spirits. An intriguing day starting from the bottom of the hill and passing the workshops, markets and monasteries which will be useful or even essential to understand more of the country during the rest of your journey. The tour includes a traditional Burmese breakfast, offerings to monks and the pagoda, a visit to a fortuneteller and a Burmese lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to airport then take flight to Heho, upon arrival our guide will pick up from Heho airport to hotel. Check in hotel and free at leisure.

| DAY 3: FULL DAY INLE LAKE (B/L) |
Inle Lake in southern Shan State is a vast natural lake surrounded by traditional Shan villages. On the lake itself the Intha people have been living for many centuries in villages built entirely on stilts. Today you ride a private motorboat around the lake. Discover its natural beauty, visit the floating gardens, see some of the famous leg rowers, and have a cup of tea at a local family’s house. On and around the lake, traditional markets are held in different villages according to a 5-day rotating schedule. Today we take you to visit one of these colourful markets frequented by Shan and PaO people. We certainly also visit a local cheroot factory (where the Burmese cigars are made), floating tomato gardens, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Intha Heritage house – where the Burmese cats are bred – and if wanted, we visit a weaving factory

| DAY 4: INLE LAKE TO BAGAN BY FLIGHT 10:20-11:00 – HALF DAY BAGAN TOUR (B/L) |
Morning you will have breakfast at hotel then free at leisure until transfer to airport for the flight to Bagan upon arrival guide will pick up at the airport then transfer to check in hotel and have half day city tour in Bagan
We love Bagan, not just because of the beauty of each temple and not just because of the lack of hordes of tourists. We like Bagan most because of the stunning landscape of ancient temple ruins that seem to be spread around randomly in between toddy palms and bamboo huts. During this half-day tour, your guide will show you some of the most spectacular sceneries of ancient temples. The best of all is that you can stop any time, any minute to make some beautiful pictures. around 16.00 pm we continue the tour by horse cart to Pyathetgyi Pagoda for sunset with some refreshing drinks served.

| DAY 5: HALF DAY BAGAN THEN TAKE BY BACK TO YANGON BY 17:05-18:25 (B/L) |
Moring you will have breakfast at hotel then start your tour from the convenience of your hotel room in Bagan. Your driver will be there to meet you at 8:00am and after a short meet and greet, you will set-off to your destination. Hop in your air-conditioned vehicle with your personal driver and take a 48km drive south east of Bagan. Along the way you will have the opportunity to take in the picturesque scenery en route to your destination.
Once you arrive at your destination, Mt. Popa, you will start your ascent to the top of the extinct volcanic mountain. The hike up the mountain allows for beautiful sightseeing, not to mention animal spotting as the area is inhabited by monkeys. Whilst also on your ascent you will witness old monasteries built into the mountain, shrines and places of worship. Once you have hit the top you will have beautiful views of Popa Oasis.
In the afternoon, take fight back to Yagon and connect one more your departure flight
