Azerbaijan’s ancient historical, cultural heritage and natural landscape attract scholars, art connoisseurs, musicians and tourists from different continents of the globe. Azerbaijan is often dubbed as the “Land of Fire” due to its petroleum reserves and thousands of ground sources of natural gas, many of which have been burning for thousands of years.

Baku

Baku, one of the most beautiful world’s cities is located at the joint of Europe and Asia. The capital’s name itself is interpreted as a “wind blow”, “city of winds” or “hill”, “city on the hill”.

The port city of Baku, the cultural, industrial and political capital of Azerbaijan is located on the western Caspian seaside, on the bay shores of the same name in the southern part of the Apsheron Peninsula, rich in its oil fields. Baku consists of 11 administrative districts and 5 townships. According to the Lonely Planet’s ranking, Baku is also among the world’s top ten destinations for urban nightlife.

 

Itinerary:

Day 1- Transfer from Airport to Baku hotel

A guest will be welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by a representative   of our company and accompanied to the hotel for an accommodation and arranging the rooms + free time. Evening by walking on seaside Baku you will enjoy spectacular view of Baku Nights. Back to Hotel leisure time.

Day 2-  Baku Tour

After having breakfast at the hotel, driver will take you to Highland Park, from here you will see amazing view of  Baku city. After will go to visit the Old City , Maiden Tower and The Palace of the Shirvanshahs which has been mentioned on UNESCO’S World Cultural Heritage list.

Then after lunch, you will go to the shops where the traditional souvenirs are sold and end the day with going to the National Carpet Museum Visit- treasury of the Azerbaijan National Culture. The collection, compiled by the National Carpet Museum, celebrates the treasures of Azerbaijani craftsmanship. Exhibited items include world’s largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets, traditional clothing, jewelry, shoes and copper goods like plates, jugs, mugs and samovars (photo-session from outside)

Near Museum in Little Venice Park you will feel yourself in small Italy. Park Evening by walking on seaside

Day 3- Baku to Gabala Transfer

After breakfast at Hotel you will move to Gabala Hotel. After check in in Hotel  you will have free time for rest. + Half day city tour.

Day 4- Gabala Tour

After breakfast at Hotel  you will move to Gabala city (approx. 4 hours).

Excursion in: Tufandaq”Winter-Summer Tourism Complex offers cable car rides at any time of the year, skiing on the ski tracks of different difficulty level, ski training and ski school, catering service (cafe and restaurants), entertainment centres for kids, hotel and other services

Ø  Gabala Shooting Club is part of the Gabala Sport Club, a world-class facility that prepares  the athletes for the national teams of Azerbaijan in shooting, boxing, karate, taekwondo,  soccer, and judo. The reason behind building the GSC was to develop a multi-purpose and world-class shooting facility in Azerbaijan that can serve both as a recreational and entertainment center, and as a training place for the national shooting team and international professionals, as well as to promote the shooting as a sport in national level

Ø  Nohur Lake -It is located in Qabala, another region of Azerbaijan that one passes when travelling to Sheki. Lake is not on the way but if you go a bit deeper towards the mountains this beautiful view opens up in front of you.

Day 5- Gabala- Baku

After breakfast at Hotel you will move to Baku Hotel. After check in in Hotel  you will have free time for rest.+ half day Baku tour.

Day 6 – Absheron peninsular tour

Drive to FIRE  WORSHIPPERS’  TEMPLE–  The most famous fire temple is the well-preserved  temple Ateshgah (“the Fire Place”) in Surakhany, The temple was built over a pocket of natural gas that fuelled a vent providing an ‘eternal’ fire

Ø  Trip to “FIRE MOUNTAIN “-“Yanardag” -a mountain on Absheron peninsula, 25  km from north of Baku.Literally, word “Yanardag” means “Blazing mountain”. Blazing bo dies of flame dance on st ones and floor.  Yanar dag is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, which itself is known as the “land of fire.” (Entrance ticket is not included)

Ø  Tour starts with the visit to the charming example of modern architecture – The Heydar Aliyev Center – a 57, 500 m2 building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British  architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003.

Day 7- Transfer from Hotel to Airport

After breakfast at Baku hotel according to flight time driver will transfer to Airport.
