| In the evening depart to visit Uluwatu, a temple located on a narrow and steep drop cape. The steep drop is continually under strong abrasion of Indian ocean. The foundation of this temple is associated with the myth of famous Hindu Priest who had strong magic power. According to the myth, after the priest doing the reformation of the Hindu in Bali he then took a short meditation here and his body disappeared & absorbed by the nature. He is believed to have practiced what is considered the highest state in Hindu that is “MOKSA”. Toward the sunset, a Kecak dance, performed by sometimes more than 50 men topless, with checquered cloth, encircling flickering lights, and sing in a chorus of “TjakTjakTjak……..” The dance is not using musical background, but use chorus of human voice as the change. Basic story of the dance is taken from great Ramayana Epic of India, that is the love story of king Rama and Princess Shinta. Dinner will be served at seafood restaurant at Jimbaran bay. Besakih Temple located on the foot of the highest mountain in Bali that is Mount Agung. The temple consists of 18 complexes as the reflection of the mixed believes between Indian Hindu and Balinese ancestors worship. Here the demon is symbolized by frightening face of Rangda and the good figure is symbolized with Barong, a tiger like creature with sparkling golden accessories. | Barong dance is a dance symbolizing good and evil spirits. The Barong is symbolized with a creature resemble a tiger and the witch is symbolized with frightening lady with long teeth sharp tusk, and always hanging long tongue called Rangda. Since the witch has a very strong magic power, dozen of the Barong assistants who intended to attack Rangda were hypnotized and committing suicide by stabbing themselves by kris. Balinese Compound, a settlement pattern of Balinese that has a very unique architecture because each elements of the construction is to be related with the religious and traditional believes. Gold and Silver smith, they create many elegant designs, which are greatly influenced by local tradition. The villages known as the best place for this art works are DesaCeluk near Batubulan town, and DesaSingapadu, bordering with DesaCeluk. Guwa Gajah, the 11thBuddhist Hermitage carved on a rock. Depending on the time, we drive directly to the mountain resort of Kintamani with its magnificent view on the mount Batur crater where lake Batur and active mount Batur are located.
